How many days are there between two dates?
Count the calendar days from the start date up to the end date. From 1 January 2026 to 25 December 2026 is 358 days, which is 51 weeks and 1 day. The calculator also shows the result in weeks, months and years.
Does the day count include the end date?
By default it counts the days in between, so 1 January to 2 January is 1 day. If you are counting both the first and the last day, as for a leave period, add one to the result.
How are business days calculated?
Tick "Exclude weekends" and the count skips Saturdays and Sundays. Public holidays are not removed, because they differ by country and region; subtract any that fall in your range from the business-day figure.
How many days are in a year?
365 in a common year and 366 in a leap year. Leap years are divisible by 4, except century years not divisible by 400, so 2000 was a leap year and 2100 will not be. 2026 has 365 days; 2028 will have 366.
